I was the unwitting participant on the way home from work. Kid ran across a busy road through traffic stopped at a light. I was in the right hand exit lane driving past the stopped traffic, he ran between the stopped cars and straight into me. Other drivers saw him pelting along and were honking, but he didn't stop. I knocked his legs out from under him, his elbow took out the windshield, his head took out my t-top glass (if you've never had a t-top explode over you, it definitely an experience) and he cartwheeled over the rear and bounced off the road. He wobbled around a bit trying to get to the side of the road, other guys were out of their stopped cars and getting him settled on the grass beside the road.
EMT's were on the scene in 7-10 minutes. He has no broken bones, some bruises, twisted ankle, nice gash on his elbow. All his little buddies gathered around while they were strapping him to the backboard, he was asking for his cellphone the whole time. His left sneaker flew off across two lanes of traffic.

Amazingly enough, the kid is in pretty good shape. It was at rush hour, I had about 15 witnesses that all said the kid was running through the stopped cars about 50 feet before the intersection. If I had been driving my Frontier, the kid would have been greased. Everyone else who was stopped in their rig pig trucks were saying the same thing.
As we waited for the cops, one of the witnesses said "What the hell is that kid playing Frogger on this road during rush hour for?" As the kid was OK at this point, I let out a tension-relieving laugh.
